Business Action for Water (BAW) - The business network dedicated to the World Water Forum
Initially developed and rolled-out for the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (UN CSD) in 2004 and 2005, a “renewed” Business Action for Water aims to be the platform to facilitate business input into the
5th World Water Forum in 2009.

BAW CSD13

Business Action for Water (BAW) for the 13th session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development
Set up in December 2004 by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Business Action for Water (BAW) is an ad-hoc, temporary business initiative bringing together a comprehensive network of businesses, large and small, drawn from many sectors and regions around the world.

Purpose: Give business input focused on water in the UNCSD 13

BAW was established to provide business input into the 13th session (11-22 April 2005) of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (UNCSD), which focused on water, sanitation and human settlements, and to other important forums in that timeframe. It did so by co-ordinating the delivery of international business positions, achievements, activities and partnerships on water issues.
